Both clutches seem to have good reviews from maverick owners but i decided to go with the qsc/stm setup from kris.

Cv tech clutch review. So if anyone wants my opinion of cvtech, pm me. I put the new weights and spring in myself and surprised how easy it was to modify and check. Cv tech offers the best in clutches for 800cc utv and atv models.

I found this one for 650/750 for 404.00 cad. Qsc clutch kit (weights and springs) is just over $200. But in order to pull the cvtech clutch, i need a cvtech puller, cause my polaris puller won’t work.

Will run identically prepared commanders as far as tire pressure, weight of driver etc and do some videos. 18 g weights in primary and the 1017 ( 200/1600 ) spring along with what air dam clutch recommends b3 on secondary clutch , my honest opinion is a2 would be plenty on secondary. #8 · aug 30, 2016.

So all in all, so far i’m into this for the cvtech primary, a cvtech puller, a cvtech weight kit, a cvtech belt, a free cvtech spring and i still don’t have a properly operating clutch. We're installing a cv tech on charlie manson's commander in the next few days. Joined jun 3, 2010 ·.

Hope this is a help to others. Cv tech trailbloc well you've all heard about it by now, here is some details!!! I found that the primary clutch was shot.

I have and use heavily a 2014 6x6. I finally got a cvtech primary clutch for my canam renegade 1000. Completely redesigned primary clutch with the smoothest belt engagement and excellent back shifting, combined with an all new roller secondary clutch.

Just don't like the plastic sliders and was little noise for my liking. Cvtech, is the choice of some serious builders, maybe not all, very comparible to any other after market clutch, unless your getting into a big race build with huge hp, that way stm is the way to go, a lot of people hate on cvtech because of the early ones had some issues, they are awesome, probably the best performance mod you can do, to a relatively stock bike. I have one (cv tech, power block 80) on a 15' proclimb, smooth as silk take off, less belt heat, way less rotating mass which translates to way better throttle response, holds rpms way better in different conditions, and altitudes than any clutch i have ever had (polaris, cat, skidoo and even yamaha which i felt has the best factory clutches and belt) i ran the powerbloc clutch. Most importantly, it wasn't just drop shipped to my door. The cv tech is a larger diameter clutch.

This is because the belt is only so long and will only go so far down in the secondary. The belt grip was really good lot better than stock, a lighter clutch so will see performance gains. Review by unknown on april 8th, 2021 my factory clutch needed a rebuild and wanted to put in a kit.

This clutch is called the cv tech trailbloc. But the larger diameter primary is useless because the secondary is the limiting factor. If the clutch kit does what it did for my sportsmans i will be extremely happy!

The new wet clutch delete jackshaft i build, along with the new cvtech primary i build for your machine will free up nearly 7 pounds of rotating mass off your crankshaft allowing your engine to rev like it should, also since this wet clutch delete is getting rid of any slip, you unleash all the power your engine truly makes.
